I said I’d let you know when I found happiness.
Just letting you know.
I had an interview today with Lutron Electronics. They are in Pennsylvania, which means if I get it, I’ll get to live there this summer. I thought the interview went well, so we’ll see which direction they plan on going. Of all the companies at the career fair yesterday, they are the ones I wanted to talk to the most, so it was great to get offered the interview. I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks!
I got a job interview for tomorrow! Check back tomorrow for details.
I just deleted every e-mail that was ever in my Yahoo mail account since summer of 2002.
All of them.
Friday, we watched three movies. I haven’t watched a movie in forever. We watchd half of Dodgeball, all of Zoolander, and half of Old School. Later that night, Jenny and I went over to 6th street for the Breathalizer party. They had Beer Pong on the table, and we played some Flippy Cup and 3-Man on the bar. Afterwards, we watched half of Anchorman, and came back to the apartment.
Saturday, we watched all of Anchorman again, because Jenny hadn’t seen it before. Later, we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse (I haven’t been to Roadhouse in the Haute since last January, I think… wow.) I called Lane to see what was going on, and we went over and played poker for a little bit and watched the end of Top Gun. Went out to the bars with Cody, Roser and his girlfriend, and then came back to the aparment. I need to get some more margarita mix, the guys drank all of mine. Might as well get some more tequila, too. And some limes. Gotta have limes.
Haven’t really done anything all day today, I went to Subway, gotta do some homework eventually. Football games today aren’t going the way I want them to… damn Atlanta. Damn Pittsburgh. I’m 3 for 6 on the past two weeks.
And you thought the Numa Numa video was freaky. Now you got some guy named Gunther singing about his Ding Ding Dong. The video borders on pr0n, so its NSFW (not safe for work). Basically, its this guy singing about his crazy deranged European concept of love, I guess…

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. You never know what’ll happen when you touch his tralala.
Jenny drove up from IU for a visit this weekend. We went out to Real Hacienda with the 6th Street guys, and then went back to their house to watch Lane’s TV spot on the 11o’clock news from the recycle contest. He’s pretty proud of that TV spot. We went bowling, drank a little bit, got some Taco Bell later that night, then watched Napoleon Dynamite. Jenny and I fell asleep on the couch, and woke up when the movie ended. Went back to Rose.
Woke up at like noon on Saturday, and was lazy until about 4pm. Jenny left around 6ish, and I watched some of the game. She might come back next weekend, too. We’ll see. I should go down to Bloomington sometime. There was a Pike party Saturday night, but I decided to skip out on it. We had a group meeting for Engineering Practice, our robot looks totally sweet. We worked on it for 5 hours. As a pat on the back for finishing a major design issue with the robot, I made some margaritas with the rest of our tequila. Then we basically tested the robot for the next hour. The first time we tested it, it smashed into the ground and broke into a million pieces. I guess we applied too much torque… it works now, though.
Today, woke up at noon. Watched the Vikings get owned, and then the Colts get owned. Guess my prediction was wrong, and the Colts do indeed still suck.
I have about 4 billion pages of homework due this week. Sounds familiar… a bit like last week. Maybe next weekend will be good, too.
I had 4 tests this week. And I got my midterm grades tonight. I wasn’t surprised. I got one A, and one S (which is basically an A, I think). The other three grades will not be spoken outloud. It might anger the gods.
Homework was due just about every day this week, which kept me fairly busy. My roommate would say I’m a lazy guy in the first place, so I probably could have done most of it during my lazy periods. I know I waste a lot of time, perhaps I should have gone to that Procrastination meeting this week. But I procrastinated and didn’t go (actually, I think I had class during that.)
We had the Rose-Hulman recycling contest on Wednesday, which was basically build some crap out of bottles and rubber bands. The channel 2 news was there, and we got filmed building our great (read: ungreat) machine. Ours broke right before the end of the contest. I think 36 groups particiapated in it, and only one made it across the finish line anyway. Lane got interviewed by the news team about his experiences with the contest. Years and years of high scholastic aptitude, 3 years of training in engineering concepts, and he wastes his television debut with a quote to baffle the ages: “rubber band spinny thingy…”
By popular demand, the Numa Numa lyrics can be found below. The actual song is called Dragostea Din Tei, by O-Zone (I guess, I dunno. Its Romanian or something.) Also, there is now a remix of the video, with subtitles, and also the pictures have been removed. You can also still watch the original version.

Read on for the lyrics.
What’s with these homies, dissing my girl?
Why do they gotta front?
What did we ever do to these guys
That made them so violent?
Woo-hoo, but you know I’m yours
Woo-hoo, and I know you’re mine
Woo-hoo, and that’s for all time
Oo-ee-oo I look just like Buddy Holly
Oh-oh, and you’re Mary Tyler Moore
I don’t care what they say about us anyway
I don’t care bout that
